Dakota Valley Elementary School Reviews

The education that my kids have recieved since being at Dakota Valley has been excelent. However I am scocked how difficult the staff is to deal with. I personally cannot wait until my daughter moves on to middle school.

This school went year round and is still over crowded. The day care at this school often fills up and they are doing nothing to increase space or staff. I recommend you do research on merit pay. If you child is not above average think how this affects how the teacher treats your child. There has been a change in administration (Principle, Vice Principle) every year for the last four years. MMMMM what does this mean, and how does that effect the teaching staff? Do your research.

I have a 3rd grader in Dakota Valley for 3 years. 3 years ago the class size was well under 20 students per teacher. I felt this was a better learning ratio for the kids.

I think this school is great. My twins have excelled here. All of the staff is wonderful!

I was not pleased with Dakota Valley at all. They teach to the middle of the class and have very little to challenge or help anyone else.

We moved to this area summer of 2005 because of the school and could not be happier! Its diverse, fun, and very educational. Our first grader loves to get up and go every day! The teachers welcome your help, and encourage parents to drop in anytime.

My daughter has attended pre-school and is now attending kinergarten at Dakota Valley. It is a fantastic elementary school. The preschool program was outstanding. I was amazed at the major invlovement that the teaching team portrays. There are experts in occupational therapy, special education, and phsychology that routinely visit the classrooms weekly and do one on one activities with the kids. The daily schedule is very good, and the kids learn through play, creativity, physical activity and academics. So far my daughter's kindergarten experience is also excellent. Daktoa Valley has an excellent reputation for preparing their students to learn to read on a great program, and my daughter has already shown major improvement with her comprehension skills. Her teacher is dedicated and enthusiastic about making sure all students are equipped with the skills necessary to succeed academically.

My children have attended this school for 3 years now and we love it. The teachers are amazing and very caring the prinicipal is very involved in fact he stands outside everyday before and after school greeting the kids and parents. There is a drive up loop where you can drop of your kids in the front of the school and almost every morning he is helping my kids out of the care. Its very sweet. I also like that they challenge the kids to bring out all their potential. My kids were 'late bloomers' but these teachers worked hard with them figuring out the best way they learn and they have made a 180 with them! This school is definitely a school of excellence. Lots of parent volunteers too!

My son has attended Dakota Valley for 5 years and I am completely satisfied with the programs offered and the focus on Reading, Math and overall excellence in education. The teachers are experienced and outstanding. Parent involvement is incredible and encouraged by all grade levels. My son loves going to Dakota Valley. When we considered moving he asked if he could still go there even though we would have to drive a ways. I don't think you can find a better elementary school, even in Cherry Creek.
