Aurora Colorado Art
A US Air Force building that has been turned into a pottery workshop has a history as interesting as you would expect. The building, built in 1938, served as a radio transmission site and flight control center for a US Army Corps of Engineers base in Colorado Springs before being acquired by the city of Aurora in 1971.
The mural on Aurora Street occupies the two blocks leading to Stanley Marketplace and is painted across the street. The colourful mural was partly completed by more than 350 volunteers and adds a unique, friendly entrance to the marketplace.
The fully staffed gallery is open to the public daily and houses unique sculptures, paintings and exhibits. The art galleries are just the beginning - the pavilion will be expanded to include an outdoor art gallery, a café and a children's play area (more here).
If you're on the Anschutz Medical Campus at the University of Colorado, you should stop by the Fulginiti Pavilion.
If you have a position that requires a creative mind, you can try yourself into art jobs to apply these skills. I # Ve moved, lived in South Carolina, briefly left for a year and returned to the state I love. As I get older and make more canvases on a much larger scale, I can stay creative while moving and moving back and forth between states.
I love watching the makeover shows, so I decided it would be great to dive dumpsters and repair old furniture by putting artwork on them. I had a penchant for artistically repairing things around the house after my father made me repaint the kitchen table instead of buying a new one and putting vinyl on the floor. The second piece was coloured with pencil and fixed to the frame with a blue oven filter. We wrapped the old wooden basin in saran foil to protect it, glued it on both sides and painted it.
After a month of toasting, I took a weekend off in March 2009 and helped license my art to the company Trash Trash. I loved the idea and bought as many pieces as my children could dream of and they all loved them.
We offer over 170 courses for members of the Aurora community, not to mention a Vocational Training Clinic to help Aurora's youth learn skills that will get them off the ground. Children have the opportunity to paint murals and draw their own multimedia works, many of which are exhibited in the OASIS Studio.
